CoinCasso team landed again in Malta to take part in the spring edition of the Malta AI & Blockchain Summit. The event has definitely met all our expectations and we are really satisfied to be part of this exceptional conference. Malta AI & Blockchain Summit is a great opportunity to broaden knowledge and awareness about blockchain technology and to establish new business contacts. Our project has gained full of interest.
Check out some photos from the summit:
Michal Grzywacz, the Head of International Operations at CoinCasso, was interviewed by BloxLive. BloxLive is the world’s DLT and fintech news network streaming around the clock.
Let’s now summarize the event’s agenda.
What happened on Day 1?
Day 1 started with a speech given by a Prime Minister of Malta, Hon. Joseph Muscat. “We must look to make sure other countries embrace this [blockchain] technology”, he said.
Later, there were many different panels, some of them concerned the following topics:
“Decentralised A.I.: an existential risk or an auspicious future?”
“How will blockchain, A.I. and IOT converge in the next decade?”
“What is web 3.0 and why does it matter?” – the speech was given by Dr Larry Sanger, the co-founder of Wikipedia. Dr Sanger was talking, among other things, about how social media continues to dominate our social lives and emphasized that Big Tech corporations are now working more and more closely with governments around the world.
“Data mining: your online identity”: A.I., Big Data, blockchain and online identity have met in an inevitable intersection.
“How will A.I. shape an evolving job market?”
“How can we reconcile blockchain security with rampant hacks?”, with Pascal Gauthier from Ledger.
“Bitcoin: a 21st-century currency renaissance”, a speech was given remotely by Tim Draper.
“Is a global decentralised financial system a possibility or a utopia?”: The decentralised financial ecosystem aims to tackle key infrastructural challenges in finance. Will this prototype succeed where others have failed?, with Eric Van Der Kleij from C4DR.
“The future of digital money”, with Bobby Lee from Bitcoin Foundation. While the short-term volatility of cryptocurrencies rages on, the ongoing adaption of digital money makes the transition all but assured.
“How does blockchain bring social benefits to emerging economies”: Developing countries like India, Kenya and others in East Africa are discovering an array of applications for blockchain that promise a secure, peer-to-peer mechanism for verifying the information.
On Day 2, the event’s agenda consists of AI OT & Big Data discussions, STO Battle and “Blockchain Investment & The future of digital money”.
We asked the representatives of several companies for a comment. Check them out:
“Malta is very special for us, we have been there last year and we loved it. Malta summit is a magical place to connect with a lot of clever minds and interesting people. We are proud to present our new project to the public and we hope everybody will profit from it in the future”, said Rafal Komuda, the community manager of nuco.cloud.
“Fantastic event, beautiful place, can’t wait for the next one”, said the representative of Virtual Finance Ltd.
“Last year, we launched one of the first and most comprehensive DLT Regulatory Frameworks in the world. We haven’t been idle – we have now put the framework into action and are now accepting applications for VFA Service Providers, ICOs and systems audits. The Malta BC & AI Summit is a testament to the great excitement brewing up in Malta, over 5,500 attendees and a buzzing atmosphere.”, said Dr Jonathan Galea, managing director of the Blockchain Advisory.
“My impression of the conference – Malta Blockchain Summit is one of the best ones we’ve partnered with and exhibited at. It has tremendous potential. The line-up of speakers and the quality of content is impressive. We clearly see that the crypto winter is over and the market is back on its feet. We’ve met some incredible projects and we look forward to growing our business. CoinCasso team did an amazing job!”, said the representative of Crypto PR Lab.
